The ingredients of the protective dry oil
Sichuan pepper
The Benefits of Sichuan Pepper
Many studies have been conducted to evaluate the soothing effect of Sichuan Pepper on skin sensitivity.
Twelve volunteers were asked to define heat perception according to the following parameters: hot (feeling good), warm (discomfort) and pain followed by a thermal stimulus given by an instrument that emits a certain amount of heat and provides a continuous skin temperature reading.
After the first reading, Sichuan Pepper emulsion (0.5% Sichuan Pepper/ cm2) and empty emulsion were applied to the scapular area of the volunteers. Thermal skin sensitivity measurements were then taken after application of the product. Sichuan Pepper has a calming effect on the perception of “heat” but does not affect the sensation of pain.
Additional evaluation of the soothing and anti-itching effect of Sichuan Pepper was performed on 40 healthy volunteers with mosquito bites.
The volunteers recorded the itching intensity of at least 3 mosquito bites per arm. Overall, 67.5% of the volunteers reported an anti-itching effect of Sichuan Pepper spray solution (0.5%) compared with the placebo sample.
Further clinical studies showed the same calming effects of Sichuan Pepper in a variety of applications.

Thanks to its content of special Phytosterols, it provides soothing and repairing activity, helping to keep the skin glowing.
A clinical study conducted by Moroccan researchers on the potential beneficial effects of Argan Oil for skin health was tested in a group of 60 postmenopausal women, not following hormone replacement therapy, who were asked to apply 240 mg/day (2 mg/cm²) of Argan Oil-based dry oil, corresponding to about 10 drops, to the volar region of the left forearm, avoiding the spreading of any other cosmetics in that area.
To evaluate the ability of Argan Oil to improve skin elasticity, the following parameters were measured: R2 (overall elasticity); R5 (net elasticity) and R7 (biological elasticity) and the RRT (resonance running time) at the volar region of the left and right forearm before the start of treatment and after 30 and 60 days.
Factors R2, R5 and R7 are directly proportional to skin elasticity, while RRT is inversely proportional. On the right arm of the women treated with olive oil, no significant change in the above parameters was measured while on the left arm, where Argan Oil was applied instead, significant changes in factors R2, R5, R7 and RRT were revealed.
After 60 days of treatment, a significant improvement in skin elasticity measurable through a significant increase in factors R2, R5 and R7 and decrease in RRT.
